Foreign travel advice

Before you travel abroad it may be necessary to check with your travel agent and the practice whether or not you need special injections or medication for the country you are travelling to. In some cases you can be denied entry to a country if you do not have a certificate proving that you have had the necessary injections.

Please note that Connswater Family Practice does not supply or administer travel vaccinations - you will neeed to book an appointment at a local travel clinic to get your vaccinations.

Which vaccinations and medicines will I need

The travel clinic can advise of any specific vaccinations you need and any medicines you should take with you. You must ensure you are vaccinated at least 6 weeks before departure where it is necessary. Malaria tablets have to be taken as advised before departure.

The Fit for travel destinations guide has a wealth of further information - choose the country/countries you will be visiting and make a note of the required and recommended vaccinations.
